"From my perspective, the single most important quality that a General Contractor must possess is integrity. From the Senior Management through the Project Engineer, ESI brought this ingredient to the equation. All of these individuals also possessed superb construction skills. They were supported by a sophisticated IT system which was very important to us given that Kimco is a very large REIT that required extensive and detailed financial reports.

The quality of ESI’s work can best be demonstrated by the results achieved in meeting the demands of large national retailers. The final site walk through with Target yielded only two very minor punch list items. One national anchor said their store was the first store they had ever had completed that had no items on the final punch list. Another anchor became so comfortable with ESI that they canceled their normal monthly site visits and only did a final walk thru. And the required schedules were met for every anchor tenant.

Relative to cost effectiveness, the ESI work was done under a GMP contract. The final cost was actually well under the GMP amount.

Perhaps the best indication of our satisfaction with their work is the fact that we did not even consider using a different contractor for the second project, Treasure Valley Crossing.

The proverbial bottom line is that ESI is one of the finest contractors I have worked with in over 37 years as a commercial developer and I recommend them without hesitation."
